We haven’t posted in a while, but what a way to get back at it!

We are really excited to introduce our new stud ram, Bobendrier 21-35. This yearling was our pick of Bobendrier’s Rare Opportunity Online Sale.

There were a few things we have been looking for in our next stud ram; size, length, great feet and legs without sacrificing structural correctness. 21-35 checked all the boxes for us and then some! We were sold after watching him on the move, he travels better than any ram we’ve seen this spring! He is also dead-level down his top, has a great dock set and great breed type.
His pedigree is also packed with some heavy hitters! His sire, “Rare Nugget,” was senior champion at Louisville. His paternal grandsire was "Rare Reputation," the 2018 national champion. His paternal grandam was sired by "Final Edition," the 2016 national champion; and his dam was sired by "Stealth" the Midwest Sale champion ram in 2016!
Chuck’s sale description said, “Wouldn't this guy look good chasing your ewes around the pasture this fall”. Man, was he right! But… we couldn’t wait until fall! We have exposed him to 30 ewes for late fall lambs! We can’t wait to see how this guy outcrosses on our Hope ewe base!

We are proud to say we have been working with Gore’s and supplying them with lamb for a couple of years now. Check them out in Stephens City! They are stocked up and taking orders for Easter!

We had a great day at the Maryland State Fair!

We had the Champion Fitted Hamp Ram with our yearling 20-01. Champion Fitted Hamp ewe with our yearling 20-41. Reserve Champion Fitted Ram with 21-03 our Early ram lamb. Other highlights included 1st late ram lamb (21-29), 3rd yearling ewe (20-03), first early ewe lamb (21-01), 1st and 2nd late ewe lambs with 21-54 and 21-12. We ended the show with 1st Flock and Premier Breeder!

20-41 also got pulled out in the Supreme Drive!

We only took a handful of Dorsets to the West Virginia State Fair, but our Yearling 19-54 was Champion!

It was good to be back in the show ring! We had a good day with the Hamps at the West Virginia State Fair. 21-03 was Reserve Champion Hampshire and Reserve Supreme Champion Ram. We also had the 1st place Flock and we were Premier Breeder.
We cannot thank our show help enough! Thanks for all you all do! We definitely cannot do it without you!

Heishman 19-54 is always striking a pose! We exposed a select group of ewes to him for fall lambs.

Sheared off our two yearling rams today. They are a little different in their type, but we like both of them!

With lambing winding down and just a few ewes left to lamb, we are pretty excited about this set of lambs! We are looking forward to watching them grow!

17-60 just keeps rolling! Coming off the Champion win at the VA State Fair on Tuesday, today he was Champion Hampshire Ram at Keystone!
We are really proud of this guy and look forward to seeing his impact on our flock!

Today, we hosted the State 4-H Livestock Judging Team. The team had a workout to help determine which individuals would represent the state at the national contest. We enjoyed letting them come and sort through some classes of our ewe lambs. We wish them the best of luck in their fall adventure!
