Meet the Chocolate Olive Oil Tart Sundae, a limited edition collaboration inspired by the signature dessert at our restaurant in Brooklyn. It features a generous drizzle of our Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil over chocolate olive oil swirl gelato, Panna, candied pie crust, housemade chocolate ganache, and sea salt.

Available through Sunday at Caffè Panna’s Manhattan and Greenpoint locations.

Twenty-two years ago this month, we opened the doors to our restaurant Frankies Spuntino in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.

We didn’t set out to build a specialty foods company. We just wanted to cook with the very best ingredients we could find.

That search took us from Palermo to Piemonte, eventually leading us to extraordinary producers in Sicily whose work deserved a place beyond our dining room — starting with the finest organic olive oil in the world.

Today, we’re proud to share our ever-expanding collection of oils, pastas, and olives with home cooks across America.

Whether you’ve been joining us at the restaurant since day one or just recently found us through the pantry, thank you for being part of the story. We hope these ingredients make your life as delicious as they’ve made ours.

Are you following Nino Asaro? Because you should be. Not only do his recipes always hit. He’s the fifth generation of the Asaro family — the legendary Sicilian olive oil producers who make our ingredients possible.

Here’s Nino’s Fennel Salad, powered by Frankies 457 Extra-Virgin.

Ingredients
•2 fennel bulbs, thinly sliced with a mandoline
•4 passion fruits
•100ml Frankies 457 EVOO
•Anchovy paste
•Fresh mint
•Fresh parsley
•Boquerones
•Lemon
•Salt

Method

Thinly slice the fennel using a mandoline. Season with salt, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, and let it rest in the refrigerator.

For the dressing:
Purée the passion fruit with the EVOO and a pinch of salt. Pass the mixture through a very fine sieve. Combine the filtered dressing with finely chopped mint, parsley, and a little anchovy paste.

Dress the chilled fennel generously, toss well, and finish with the boquerones on top.

Fresh, salty, acidic, and ridiculously good.

Ps. An Arab, a Sicilian and an American would probably have a cannolo and caffè.

People everywhere swear by our Calabrian Chili Oil for pizza, pasta, and salad dressings. Another place we love it: end-of-summer happy hours.
