It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of our “therapy” chicken, Helena. If you’ve visited us, you’ve probably been introduced to her. She loved being held and petted, and was a true chicken ambassador. She was held by many for comfort on a sad day, and spread cheer by jumping up on your lap and roosting on your leg. I didn’t know how much I could love a chicken until I met Helena. She will be greatly missed.

How is it that these cute little worms have stolen my heart?! I’m genuinely in awe of what God has given me to do in my life, shepherding the most adorable little snakes. At a month old, they’re eating everything I give them: silversides, pinkies, tilapia, and chicken hearts (all chopped). They’re active all the time, use all of their tank, enjoy every decoration and hide, and are entirely entertaining!

I’m so excited to announce the birth of Sheba’s litter. We’ve been watching her closely for a while now because she was getting rather large, and now we know why. She delivered 30 babies, many of them very large!! What an amazing mama!!
