Semen sales (Cattlevisions, ST Genetics and Select Sires) Tumbling B Cattle Co. was founded in 1997 with the purchase of a single Angus cow and calf pair. I decided after many years of working ranches in several states that it was time to begin investing in my own cattle, and put a plan in place that would allow me to establish an independent business offering reproductive services. In late summer

of 2001 the journey brought me to Ohio and gave me the opportunity to start the business I had mapped out in my head. Years later since moving to Ohio, my wife, Dawn and I have started a family and continue to serve the needs of cattle producers on a daily basis. Early on I saw a need to provide small producers the advantages of artificial insemination when bigger semen companies did not find it feasible to send A.I. technicians into small herds. Today, we offer A.I ., full service embryo recovery and transfer services and semen sales for Cattlevisions & Select Sires. The summer of 2008, we opened the first BioPRYN lab in Ohio and one of 13 in the world offering lab services to test beef and dairy blood samples for pregnancy as an affiliate lab for BioTracking in Idaho. We now BioPYRN test four species, cattle, bison, sheep & goats. Thanks to all of our customers and the valued friendships we’ve made over the years.

Our friends at Warthman Farms welcomed a new heifer calf into the world today sired by Lever Action 4352. We have used the bull extensively at home and in multiple herds throughout the state. The calves continue to be calving ease friendly with a lot of vigor, growth, top and docility.

One of the farm matriarchs, Blackberry, had her 10th calf. A tiny little heifer out of Tumbling B Cattle Company Lever Action.
She maybe weighed 60 #, but is a little spitfire already! PipBerry will affectionately go by PipSqueek 😂

Late getting up (months of minimal sleep has a way), punted the floor heater barefooted, stepped on the dog and then frantic search for clothes in the dark room. Finally got settled into the car and found this video that had been sent from a customer. I post references to some of the bigger herds we work in (they depend on cattle in part to keep the lights on) … the reality of it is that there are more customers like the folks that sent the video in this region.
Back story and challenge here: 4 year old virgin heifer at the time of service (not a great business model for those thinking about getting into cattle) … AND the only bovine on the place so time breeding was the option (push and pray) … 286 days later … same field … now two bovine! The point … money is essential to earning a living but payment comes in ways that money can’t touch! I can’t think of many things that would give a grown adult the joy and happiness like a six year old on Christmas morning! Offspring compliments of Tumbling B Lever Action👍

First synch group was run through at Poorman Farms this morning. Cows were bred to Poss Longbow this year … 14 CED, -.9 BW, 30 Docility, 71 CW, 2.07 Marb, 1.28 RE, 109 $M, 253 $B and 437 $C. Poormans breed for quality replacement heifers that have power and performance without giving up femininity and high end carcass merit in their finished cattle to provide beef customers and a locally owned restaurant with a top quality eating experience. The retained heifers from the Spring 2025 calf crop will be synched to breed in early June.

Breeding cows in Ross Co. this am and stopped to see Lever Action … he was soaking in some sun but got right up to come over to the fence line for a head scratch. Big foot, big muscle, big docility! Looking good Dixie!
