Our main focus is on our beautiful herd of Mini Nubian dairy goats.

Triplet doelings for Rainy!!!

We thought we had more time and didn't even have her in a kidding pen. We were out working on a project and heard that familiar sound of a doe pushing, ran in and she was already delivering her first kid. We had to quickly clear the other does out of the barn because they would not get out of our business and were all crowded around. Then, she delivered the other two in relative peace. Thankfully, Savannah had just cleaned out the barn last night, so there is really fresh bedding in here. The other does are super ticked about being shut out and missing all the fun. We'll let them back in in a bit, but for now we're just going to let Rainy stay put and have a little rest.

Way to go Rainy! Your daughters are beautiful!

These F1 kids out of Ruth are WILD in pattern!

"Go big or go home!", says DKGH Beau Do Bebe Ruth daughter out of DKGH Candyman Baby Ruth and DKGH DG Reign Beau.

For the doeling (100% retained for our program 😁), we are are thinking Ruth's Home Run as her registered name, but calling her Babe, Baby, Bambina, or Bambi. Thoughts???

Buckling will likely be available as a herd sire, but we need a little time to evaluate. For his name, we will probably go with Sultan of Swat "Sultan".

June had to make it exciting. Random pushes for several hours before she got down to it. First kid was a little doeling who is full of sass. She came out head first with no legs which Mama did not appreciate. She was followed quickly by her brother who came out rear feet first which we did not appreciate as we always worry about aspiration of amniotic fluid with that position. And finally, second doeling came breech with tail and hocks first which neither we nor Mama June appreciated. Savannah managed to unfold the hind legs and get the feet out, then the rest came easily.

Mother and babies appear to be doing well at this time. It looks like June just ran herself through the Xerox machine. Her kids are as much like her as Ruth's kids are unlike Ruth.

Ruth has more in there and June is starting to push as well, so they are going to be kidding in synchrony this evening. 😂

ETA: Ruth now also now has this gorgeous buckling as well. She may still have one more in there. June has not gotten serious yet.
