Dear Cake Lovers -

As of October 1, I will be pausing on taking custom orders. I’ve found myself in a season where my time is not as much my own. If you know me personally, you’re not surprised as I’ve shared about my experiences in the sandwich generation. Between regular visits to GA/VA to visit aging parents, career tasks and the demands of our school-aged children, I’m finding it hard to juggle the important dates of my customers.

I don’t plan to give up baking. I’ll have walk-up bakery sales and holiday specials so I can still see my favorite people. I hope you’ll continue to enjoy a slice of Love is Baking in that capacity.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. This is my season for family.

Think of holidays, birthday parties, and weddings. What comes to mind? Celebration! And what is synonymous with celebration? Dessert! When people walk into a house in which a cake is baking, it puts a smile on their face. For me, love is baking. I think of the hours my mom spent making our favorites at Thanksgiving. The butter cakes made on Sundays to accompany the most elaborate meals prepared for the start of the week. Love Is Baking is birthed out of the love my mom had for baking and the love of preparing delicious food for her family that she cultivated in me. From cakes to cheesecakes, I prepare dessert for your special occasions. All desserts are made from scratch and in small batches.
