I promise he’s not dead - just dramatic

Trimming goats hooves is a very important part of goat care. I try to keep up (every 4-8weeks depending on growth) so sometimes we have to fit it in before bed.

Rocky hasn’t had his done yet so he was definitely due! He’s all trimmed up and should be good for another few weeks.

First day in with the big boys!

Rocky has been quarantined since he first arrived at our farm. There is nothing wrong with him - he is perfectly happy and healthy!! Quarantining him gives him time to get used to us and us time to get used to him, and we view it as best practice here.

He has a great, friendly personality and I’m excited about what he brings to our herd!

Are goats noisy?

My experience has been no. Sometimes if they want fed or want your attention they will yell at you but over all goats are pretty quiet animals.

Reduce, reuse, recycle - we are building a new pallet goat house from materials we already have here on our farm. The finished house will be approximately 12’ x 12’ giving 144 sq ft of space - enough to house 12 Nigerian dwarfs! 😉
