Whew, grazing season has come hard and fast! It’s been great seeing everybody at the Bloomfield Market — come say hi every Saturday this summer and buy some grass-fed meat, learn more about farm tours, stays, and hosting your event at the farm.

Wow! Thanks to all our volunteers, , and , PHF now has 450 more trees than it did on Monday! We established 2 riparian buffer zones on the farm around the streams to keep livestock pollution out of the water and nutrients in the soil.

also planted 250 more directly in the pastures last week to provide shade and forage for our livestock, creating a silvopasture system as they take root.

That’s 700 trees total 🌲🌳

Thanks so much to these organizations and for the hard work of everybody that came out to plant! It’s an exciting step towards becoming better stewards of sustainable agriculture and land management.

‼️Our Highlands are out on grass already‼️

How exciting! And gorgeous. This warm spring has let us start grazing, luckily for this baby Paisley who was born on fresh pasture.

Our cows are never in a barn — even in winter! Don’t worry, they have their furry coats to keep them warm. To minimize impact on the earth, we bale graze around select pastures and let the rest of the farm grow grow grow up all the fresh grass for the next season that will sustain the herd!
