Today was one for the books. We were asked to come to my daughters' school and be principal of the day. We got to go into every classroom and explain exactly what it is we do for our business. The humor of the day was when I told the kids I sell every milk out there! Which was then met by, "even breast milk?" 😂

Featured on The Milkman this week is McCloud Elementary and Norman May. These guys have been rolling with me since the beginning and I could not be more appreciative for it. Norms experience in the kitchen is hard to match. Bringing years of culinary expertise to the kids of McCloud does not go unnoticed. I mean, check out some of what's on this weeks lunch menu... Enchiladas w/spanish rice, Chicken Tetrazinni w/ salad and breadsticks and Beef Stroganoff. Seriously impressive what these kids get to have for lunch. Above all, Norm is an Army war veteran and we could not be more thankful for your service to this country.

Norm is introducing strawberry milk to the students this week, which will be available year round now. Thanks Norm!

Featured on The Milkman this week is Dunsmuir Elementary School and food manager Johanna Palmer. Dunsmuir Elementary has been one of the leaders in Siskiyou County for fresh produce and fruit, provided by local farms in surrounding areas. Kids now have the opportunity to eat healthy meals at school. Organic rainbow carrots, mandarins, apples, lettuce mix, broccoli, bell peppers and chard are a few things I dropped off to them this week. The menu is constantly rotating and so is the produce. Johanna brings a lot of experience to the table and it's been a pleasure working with her. If your child's current school doesn't offer this, reach out to someone at the school and suggest it. I never thought The Milkman would distribute fresh fruits and veggies, but thankful for the opportunity from Happy valley fresh

Featured on The Milkman this week is the W**d/Mount Shasta Highschool culinary program ran by Morgan Hamm. This program is top notch and is cooked in a state of the art kitchen at the W**d Highschool. Morgan has brought REAL food to students and knowledge that they'll use in the real world. Students are taught how to prepare and cook meals from scratch and they do it right at the Highschool. Morgan has worked at high end restaurants all over the Bay Area and has even owned a few. His expertise is valued and appreciated in our small little mountain town.

Featured on The Milkman this week is a special one. Will Stromberg from the Mount Shasta Resort. One of my best friends and my daughter's golf coach since she could walk. Will is the head pro at our local golf course and has endless years of knowledge under his belt for any skill that you're at in your game. Contact him through the resort and book your lessons ASAP.

Celebrating 6 years. Time flies. Both of our kids have been raised in the family business and we wouldn't want it any other way. Thank you to our community that continues to support us. We are constantly expanding on what and where we sell and can't wait to see where it takes us.

Tis the season! Tomorrow is October 1st and egg nog is making its appearance for the holiday season. We're back. Starting on the 6th, we will have it all over the county. All supermarkets, gas stations and coffee shops will have it available.

To celebrate our 6 years in business, we will be giving away egg nog to 6 random people. All you have to do is like and comment to enter. Cheers
