Early this morning, as my vet euthanized our doe Moon due to a urinary prolapse that he was unable to reverse, I thought about how I always joke how farming is all blood, sweat and tears. Today was a tears day. Lots of tears. Farming is hard. Whether you’re crop growing or producing livestock. I don’t care what anyone says. This is not for the faint of heart. If anything, it will tear your heart out and stomp on it a few times. Then put it back into place to do it all over again with something else. We now have three adorable doelings that we will be bottle feeding. Max is over the moon to be a mom again ( best farm dog ever)
Might be quiet today. Just feeling all the feels today.

Spring has arrived, and with it comes a quiet kind of magic—the season of new beginnings. All around us, life is stirring!

The chickens are laying like clockwork, gifting us an abundance of fresh eggs each day. There’s something so grounding about collecting them, knowing this season of plenty has arrived.

Now we wait as our mama goats and pigs are getting closer to giving birth, and soon the barn will be filled with tiny bleats and soft squeals. It’s that special time of year!

March greets us today with snow flurries, yet I can’t shake the feeling that we’re nearing the finish line. Soon, the whisper of spring will arrive, bringing warmth and new beginnings in the blink of an eye.
We are truly excited for the upcoming new beginnings, both human and animal, in the coming weeks.
We hope you follow along ✌️❤️🌷

As February unfolds, it often brings a sense of anticipation for the change of seasons. Yet, this year’s winter has been exceptionally severe, making it difficult to envision the warmth and renewal of spring just around the corner. The persistent snowfalls and biting cold temperatures have tested resilience and patience alike.

Cold weather brings significant changes to the behavior of animals. As temperatures drop, animals often become less active, conserving energy to survive the cold conditions. This reduction in activity causes a slowdown in egg production. While we are experiencing a slowdown, we still have eggs in our farm store daily. We hope you continue to support our farm through the rough winter weather.

Stay warm friends. Spring is right around the corner
