Starting in the summer of 2026 ☀️, we will be offering the JUNIOR COUNSELING PROGRAM! This program is open to former campers that are 13 years or older.
📌PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM:
The purpose of this program is to provide teen participants with valuable leadership training, practical work experience, and mentorship opportunities. The Junior Counselor program helps cultivate responsibility, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a fun and supportive camp environment, preparing young leaders to be positive role models for campers.
PROGRAM LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
➡️ Youth development: Gain practical knowledge of child and adolescent development through hands-on experience.
➡️ Leadership skills: Develop key leadership skills such as communication, problem-solving, and group facilitation.
➡️ Responsibility and teamwork: Understand the importance of teamwork by supporting senior staff and learning to work collaboratively.
➡️ Confidence: Build self-esteem and independence by successfully handling the responsibilities of the role in a mentored environment.
➡️ Professionalism: Learn professional conduct, from time management and communication to ethical behavior.
