Y’all know what… I never rush seasons, but I’m just as ready to rush summer out as I was ready to rush “winter” out! Where is fall, cause I’m ready for pumpkins & gourds!

We went on a free ranging field trip today. Showcasing a few of my 18 week old pullets!! I’m so stinking eggcited to see what they lay! 😍😍😍. Up first is a pullet from a Fibro Olive Egger cross with either a Blue Copper Marans or a Silverudd’s Blue rooster. We do have a possibility of having a shade of green!

I invite you to my 🐥 🎪 I put the chicks in the chicken tractor today because 31 is just too many littles to free range with only one set of eyes and I felt guilty not letting everyone be out of the coop. So I let some free range while others were in the tractor. The circus began when it was time to go back into the coop. LOL

I picked up some black copper marans eggs this weekend to add to the incubator. They are sooo gorgeous! 😍 I’m hoping these babies carry on some of these same egg shell genes!

I am so ready for spring over here! This Texas weather of 80 today and 28 tonight needs to go!

What are your plans for spring?! I have a list a mile long! My top 3: Expanding my flock for an amazing egg basket! Getting more coops built to separate my flocks! Get moved onto our 40 acres!
