Last Thursday, I had the distinct honor of attending the 81st United Nations General Assembly to hear the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, deliver her powerful address. Witnessing her command the global stage with an emphasis on equality, human rights, and justice was an unforgettable experience.
But getting to meet and chat with her afterward was a double honor! 🇧🇧✨ She is incredibly down-to-earth, kind, and poised—completely embodying why she is affectionately known as "Auntie Mia."
As someone who proudly champions Bajan culture through my business, Sassy’s Fish Cakes, being in her presence was deeply inspiring. It reinforced the connection I feel to the island and my commitment to sharing the rich heritage of Barbados with love and pride.
