Having our oldest daughter attending pastry school through the École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie in France has been a big advantage around here! 🇫🇷🥐

Her latest school assignment was a classic French Palmier, and it has quickly become a favorite in our house. The flaky, buttery layers paired perfectly with a lovely Café Miel that my youngest daughter made for me this morning using Scheetz Mercantile’s signature freshly roasted, in-house coffee beans.

As parents, there is something incredibly rewarding about watching your children develop a passion for producing top-notch quality foods and drinks. Seeing their creativity, dedication, and craftsmanship shine through in everything they make is truly special.

Being a dairy farmer isn’t just a job—it’s a lifestyle built on commitment, sacrifice, and dedication.

Cows don’t know weekends, holidays, birthdays, or vacations. They need care every single day, twice a day, 365 days a year. While many people are sleeping in, gathering for holidays, or enjoying time away, dairy farmers are in the barn before sunrise and often long after sunset, making sure their animals are fed, comfortable, healthy, and milked.

There are no snow days, no sick days, and no guarantee that the hard work will be rewarded. Dairy farmers work through blizzards, thunderstorms, scorching heat, and bitter cold because their animals depend on them.

The sacrifices are often unseen: missed family events, interrupted meals, sleepless nights during calving season, and countless hours spent caring for the herd. Yet dairy farmers continue because they have a deep passion for their animals, their land, and providing wholesome food for their communities.

So the next time you pour a glass of milk, enjoy a scoop of yogurt, or add cheese to your meal, remember the families behind it—the dairy farmers whose dedication never takes a day off. 🥇We are Excited to Announce 📣 we took FIRST place at the Farmlife Creamery Cheesefest Cook-off yesterday! A HUGE thank you to my husband Sam, and two kiddos who should up, helped and supported me. They were all hands on deck willing to help roll out the S’mores. I couldn’t have done it without them! 💕

Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in the tasting!
