Merlin App identified 26 unique species of bird in 20 minutes of listening on our little homestead this morning! It’s fall migration so lots of interesting species are passing through. If you haven’t tried the Merlin App, I highly recommend it!

Twix and Salt are SOLD! 🏡

We have 2-3 more to sell - Ginger, Meg, and possibly Pepper. Ginger must go with Meg, but Meg can go without Ginger to the right home.

Details:

Ginger: 3yo in milk, freshened 4/4/25 purebred registered Nubian. Nice sized teats for milking, good on the stand. She is on the skinny side and requires high quality grain and groceries to keep her at her best! She puts all her calories into her milk! She is a wonderful nurturing mama with kiddings so easy we just found her with babies both times. Her first freshening was a BIG baby (Meg!) and she did great! She must go with Meg or we will keep her here with her other bestie.

Meg: Open 2yo, never bred, daughter of Ginger, Nubian/Boer mix - very big b***d easy keeper who gets fat off air. Once she knows you she will be the first to greet you, loves pets and snuggles and of course treats. Not stand trained really, but we can administer anything in the open air as long as she has a snack in her bucket. 🤣 She can go alone or with a friend. You will need a trailer to take her.

Pepper: 10 wk old Buckling, super playful and fun, gorgeous coloring. He would make a great daddy goat to add color to your herd. Also would be a super fun wether. I could see him being a pack goat too! He’s just so fun and follows humans around! The kids want to keep this one, so I might chicken out on selling him. But for the right home and the right cash offer, I’d be willing to let him go.

I do currently have a wait list. Preference will go to local/ people willing to come with a livestock trailer to pick up/ excellent homes.

I can’t decide who to keep and who to let go, they’re all wonderful! Prices negotiable!

Goats are handled daily by children and adults, exposed to dogs (behind fence) and barn cats, chickens, geese, turkeys, ducks etc.
Easy to catch and soooo friendly.

Chicken nuggets have arrived! We are so excited to raise these for fair, and for our generous friends and family! The bros aim to give their chickens the “best life ever”, which is not only ethical, but results in a tastier dinner because of their pasture diet and minimal stress.

Our black duck lays black eggs! This is her first egg of the season. As the weeks go on, her eggs will get lighter and lighter until they are a dusty lavender. Pretty neat!

Lots of excitement here at 3 Bros! Our Mama duck, “Blacksmith” has hatched out 3 adorable, fluffy ducklings! She is an excellent mother. Daddy duck stays close to watch over them, and the geese are extremely protective of them. The ducklings are smaller than the palm of my hand, yet they are already foraging and took a quick dip this morning with their mama. The most fun and fascinating part is watching the social dynamics of all these birds and their deference to mama duck. The geese are fascinated by the babies, and the chickens know well to stay away from the babies and give mama duck space.
We are praying all 3 make it to adulthood, they are so precious!

It’s prime laying season, if you’d like farm fresh eggs from chickens who live an incredibly happy life, just *ring*!

These pictures don’t do them justice - they are both handsome guys that will look great with your flock and treat the girls right!

Easter egger: 2 years old, great protector, gentle to humans and hens, rounds them up quick to get away from hawks. Proven Easter egg breeder. Beautiful iridescent feathering. He’s a favorite here but we just have too many roosters and he deserves a flock of his own!

Polish - a little over a year old. Great hair! Flighty but perfectly gentle to humans and gentle to hens. Nice quiet crow if you want a rooster but don’t want the big crow of a larger bird. Hilarious and fun to watch! I wish I could keep him!
