Planting into Vetch… and It’s Working

This cover crop was flown on by drone, and you can see where it really took off especially down the hill where that vetch is thick.

A lot of guys told me to be careful planting into vetch with row cleaners and markers.

But honestly?

It’s planting way better than expected.

If this keeps up, we’re hoping for even better results when we hit our corn ground where the vetch is even heavier.

Sometimes you just have to try it and see.

Tonight we passed the reigns onto the next generation....well, kind of. Acre steered the John Deere 4430 while we planted some sweetcorn with this evening. The rows may not be straight, but the memories are unforgettable!
