We were able to gather with almost 200 visionaries in the Local Food Movement last week at the annual Northwest Food Hub Network Summit!

The PSFH Executive Director, Andrew, participated in a panel where he was able to share his 20-year vision for a second-tier entity that would provide institutional knowledge and structure for food hubs and their managers. We are hopeful that food hubs across the country could reach a new scale with formalized collaboration and resources!

Eddie, our Sales Director, was also able to share about his success with hub-to-hub trading with the . Through reduced margins for food hub partners, the Missoula community is now able to enjoy without forfeiting the farmer-first, cooperative business model!

It's always inspiring to come together as a group with so many food hubs and food hub supporters - thanks for undertaking this vision with us!!

We are truly lucky to have making small-batch, fresh pasta with local ingredients for the Puget Sound region!

Katie started Bellingham Pasta after moving from Portland in 2007 and finding herself regularly going back to stock up on fresh pasta. She was searching for a new career and had never made fresh pasta before, but decided to just go for it! She had no tutorials, videos, or how-to guides, but she started experimenting with a small pasta extruder.

She tested recipe after recipe with a philosophy of using the best ingredients to create the most flavorful and nutrient rich meals (each serving of their fresh pasta includes around 13 grams of protein!).

Whenever you're making a decadent, gooey lasagna on a rainy PNW evening or planning an al fresco dinner on the deck - look for Bellingham Pasta at , , or your food co-op!

is a hub for regenerative food in the Snoqualmie Valley and, true to their mission, recently launched a Toasted Coconut Granola made with organic oats and PNW dried cherries!

Kristen, Carnation Farms' Director of Culinary Operations and Education, has been refining this granola recipe for over 15 years. It has even been kid tested in her own kitchen! This granola finds a balance between sweet/salty and crunchy/chewy, that is a perfect companion to yogurt in the morning or on its own as a healthy snack.

Find your new favorite granola at , , and via PSFH!

We were proud to be representing locally grown, whole foods at the OSPI WSDA Food Show for school districts across the state last week! We gave samples of frozen butternut squash from multiple farms, blueberries from , and frozen cherries from .farm . Food service staff could even meet Luke Tonnemaker (above right) the cherry farmer!

PSFH is able to offer select local foods via OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction) which makes it possible for schools to order local through their existing ordering and distribution systems. This streamlines local food ordering for school kitchens and makes it more accessible to their kitchen staff!

Thanks to for collaborating on this initiative and for connecting us with .farm cherries!

Created to highlight the flavor of the tea itself, is uniquely refreshing and has quickly become a favorite among our wholesale customers.

Joe, the founder of Camilla Grove, began his kombucha brewing journey after picking up a copy of The Art of Fermentation and experimenting with home brewing kombucha. He noticed that the tea itself was getting lost behind fruits and ginger, and recognized an opportunity to focus on celebrating high quality, organic, and loose-leaf teas.

Joe and his team now brew six delicious, tea-forward flavors: Black, Green, Oolong, Rooibos, Jasmine, and Meadow. Find this Portland brewed kombucha at !
