Siamo arrivati in the Eternal City!

Farmers in the big city - in less than 24 hrs, we are settled into our 6th floor apartment, we found one of two big nearby parks, splashed in mountain water transported via ancient aqueducts to a public fountain, and aquatinted ourselves with the corner market. Not the regular Iowa stuff.

Oh, and grocerie stores with a display case full of fresh melon, mozzarella di buffalo, prosciutto, and G&Ts 💕

If you’re wondering about the scene change: the Turkey River Farmers are in Rome for the next 5 months for a sort of farmers’ sabbatical. Pete will be cooking at starting on Monday and Joe and Tash are along for the ride!

🌱HALF OFF all veggie starts for Memorial Day Weekend (including tomatoes, sweet peppers, eggplants, hot peppers, kohlrabi, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, dill, cilantro, basil, thyme, sage, rosemary, oregano, lavender and likely others I'm forgetting)
🌱HALF OFF all marigolds -- to keep out the critters and bring in the beneficial insects.
🌱FREE gardening advice (we can shop talk all day long! Wondering what's up with determinate vs indeterminate tomatoes? What plants can you save seed from? How (and why!) to prune tomatoes? Just ask!)

We want to help you level up your veg garden this year with quality plants and a great plan!

Tomorrow, May 18th, is our annual pollinator plant giveaway with ! Pick out a perennial plant to feed the bees, butterflies and other diversity that is so vital to ecosystem health.

We’ll also be slinging plants at a 20% discount on Saturday and Sunday in appreciation of our awesome community! Discount applies to ALL annuals, perennials, and hanging baskets.

Extra pollinator plants will come with us to at the end of the day Saturday to be given away!
