Hayton Farms Berries Fifth generation family farm est. in 1876 in the Skagit Valley specializing in berries, potatoes, & beef . Find us at your local farmers market!

Our family farm was established in 1876, on Fir Island, in the Skagit Valley. Many different crops have been grown here over the years. My great great grandpa, Thomas, grew hay and grain for work horses. In 1900 my great grandpa turned the farm into a dairy. During my grandpa Leroy's life he turned it into a crop farm. We currently grow berries, potatoes, cauliflower, & cucumbers.

We have June bearing Shuksan and day-neutral, “ever-bearing” Albion strawberries available at markets and the farm stand this week. You can also place an order for home delivery for this Friday. Cut off is 10AM Thursday for home delivery.

Shuksan - developed by WSU in 1970. Named after Mt. Shuksan in WA. This variety is famous across the Pacific Northwest for its incredible flavor, bright red-to-the-core flesh, and exceptional performance in jams & freezing. Softer & juicier than Albion. Should be used quicker than Albion. Shorter shelf life than Albion. Short harvest season, only in June.

Albion: day- neutral, “ever bearing”, bred by University of California. Exceptionally sweet candy like flavor. Conical shaped berries that have a really good shelf life. Long picking season. June-Oct.

For delivery this week the deadline is 10AM Thursday (tomorrow) for a Friday delivery.
For local market pick up the deadline is 10AM the day before.
