It’s not yet fall, but we’ve sure had some morning teasers!

The heat is still affecting production, but fall, cooler weather, and calving season are on the horizon.

What a blessing it is to know abundance so well that slight shortages feel strange! Thank you all for your continued loyalty- your support allows us to feed hundreds of families each week. We do not take that lightly. Hang tight- better days are coming.

Bottling this mornings milking right now!

***We have a few extra gallons available this morning.

We bottle every day and lately (like today) it has been within a few hours of milking.

Our milk goes straight from cow, through a stainless steel piping, into a stainless steel bulk tank where it is rapidly cooled to 38° then bottled just for you!

Our babies/grandbabies drink this milk daily so we take the utmost care to make it nourishing and safe. It is our joy to offer this product to our own and the surrounding communities. Thank you for supporting our family farm.

The guernsey girls are hot! We are doing our best to keep production steady enough to fill standing orders, but this heat is rough.

Dairy cows are naturally sensitive to heat waves and production will always take a dip during this time of year. Our goal right now is to keep these ladies’ stress levels as low as possible and keep them in the shade with access to the creek.

This is real food, subject to natures forces. I know for our own household, when this heat lets up and we can enjoy fresh milk again, we will be all the more grateful for it! And I think, really, that’s what it’s all about: gratitude. appreciation. humility.

If you are a reserved milk customer, please let us know if you are not planning to pick up your milk.

This is typical of this time of year due to the heat. As the cooler weather (hopefully) hits soon, we will have extra milk again.
