I have had several customers tell me that they would like to leave money in their will to an association or rescue to benefit donkeys. I am worried that so many non-profits are more interested in money than the cause. In this world of scamming, what reputable organization would you recommend?

I raised and sold these beautiful jennets to Jackson Ridge Acres as foals. They were brought back to my farm and bred to my jack, Quarter Moon Flashbang. A year later they delivered these wonderful spotted jacks. Congratulations Judy Pongratz!

MINIATURE DONKEY SHOW coming up in August! At least go to learn how to train and have a delightful time making friends with other donkey enthusiasts. Get your little long ears ready to have fun!
The Out West Longears Foundation is proud to announce our inaugural show, as well as a clinic on showing donkeys. I've attached a flyer for your reference. This is a new organization, and our show has already been accredited by both NMDA and ACOSA.

Please mark your calendars and invite anyone you know that has a registered miniature donkey. We don't care if your donkey(s) are young, old, fat, trim, body clipped, or fuzzy -- we just want everyone to come have some FUN and mingle with like minded donkey enthusiasts. It's a great opportunity for breeders to show off your farm/stock to the public as well as encouraging non-breeder owners to participate in events and get to know other donkey owners.

If you aren't going to show, but would like to lend a hand, please let me know - we have all kinds of positions open. We are open to the public and our focus is getting youth involved. Invite family and friends to come enjoy these little donkeys strut their stuff.

We will have world renowned trainer, Wayne Lyon, as both our clinic instructor, as well as our judge. The clinic will provide instruction on showing donkeys - halter, showmanship, in-hand performance, and driving performance. We are very fortunate to have Mr. Lyon. All events will be held at the Murieta Equestrian Center, which is a spectacular facility with beautiful arenas, box stalls, on-site restaurant (and nearby fast-food), wash racks, RV parking, and more.
