A little farm life update! 🐓🦆🦃🪿🐐💚
The chickens have been keeping us busy, and we're loving all the beautiful eggs they've been giving us! Our young pullets have started laying their tiny first eggs, already showing gorgeous blue and green pigments. We can't wait for winter when even more colorful eggs start filling the cartons. 🥚💙💚
Our sweet mama duck came to us with her ducklings, and she's been an incredible mom ever since. She originally had her own babies, but then decided to adopt even more! She now proudly leads a flock of 25 ducklings, and somehow manages to keep every one of them together. Watching her care for them has been so much fun. She has won mother of the year!! 🥹🦆💛
If you've been wondering why we haven't had duck eggs at the farmers market lately, it's because a few of our ducks have gone broody and keep claiming the eggs before we can collect them! 😂
The geese are doing what geese do best, being loud and making sure everyone knows they're around! 🪿📣
You'll also see a throwback photo of our goats when they were tiny, followed by a recent photo at the end. They've grown so much, but they still insists that personal space doesn't exist! 😂🐐
