Breeding season has officially begun!! First 3 CIDRs were pulled Friday. I will not pull blood to verify pregnancy until all does have been bred 30 days. This puts us approximately 6 weeks out for confirmation!

Inferno Story Thyme- Story is out of Chloe, and is developing into such a promising doe! I was super disappointed to lose her single doe kid this year, but hopefully we will have better luck next year

Inferno Simply Sophisticated kidded 3/1 with twin bucks. I am really pleased with how she freshened. She’s a deep doe like her dam, and has great width throughout.

Inferno Prelude’s Chloe delivered b/d twins on 3/19. Unfortunately I don’t have a pic of her uddered up, but she is a pretty doe with a lot to love about her!
Doe kid (brown) is being retained.

Although I didn’t grab any pics yet (gasp!) Prelude kidded right on her due date on 4/6 with twin bucks 🥰 the boys are super fancy, and Prelude looks incredible… she gets better every year!

Pics are definitely on my list of things to do!

She is so tiny! 🥹🫠

It’s been a while since I’ve had kids this small- check out the last doeling next to our cat!

This tan kid is the same size- her brother is marginally bigger (maybe by a lb or two) makes sense that the dam didn’t look pregnant!! 😆

The buck kid is doing great, and cared for by mom Chloe. She decided she didn’t want the doe kid (who was initially super weak) and while I do often find success with repeatedly holding the dam to reintegrate a kid, I wasn’t comfortable doing so when she was weak and not able to move quickly. So she will be bottle raised… and is already getting thoroughly spoiled by the kids and might just have to stay! This means maybe one of Chloe’s last season does may need to find a new 🏡 but who and when can be decided later this season!

Well, as weird as this season has been, this certainly tracks.

Chloe was one of my three who I wanted to preg check after Prelude delivered. She had just started looking like she was maybe pregnant: a little thicker, but zero udder development, so still questionable and besides, I do like confirming.

I’d say this solidifies things

One buck, one doe.
