G's Apple Dreams About Us - From the apple tree, to the kitchen, to the oven, to the muffin. There's nothing in the world like your Grandmother's cooking.

Our Grandmother's applesauce cake was a prized dessert in our family. She used to make applesauce from the wild crab apple trees in the orchard on the property. The apples were small and hard and not very pretty, but when you bit in to them, they were sweet and tasty. As children, my sister and I would often help "Granny" collect the apples from the apple trees. Most of the time we would eat them

straight from the tree. Only the ones that made it back to the house and into the kitchen were used to make Granny's homemade applesauce to create her one of a kind applesauce cake. The two little girls in the photo, yes, that's a real photograph of me and my sister in my grandparent's apple orchard. Granny's applesauce cake has always been a favorite of my father's and over the last year few years, I worked diligently to master my grandmother's recipe. Once perfected, G's Apple Dreams were born. Although a smaller and lighter version of my grandmother's original cake, these applesauce muffins come from the same "charm" as the original cake and are "Simply Amazing Applesauce Muffins". They are made fresh, with no preservatives, and give you that little southern home made charm. Take them straight from the freezer, let them thaw at room temperature and voila! No one will ever know you didn't make them yourself. Enjoy them with Greenfield's Dream Creme, just a little sweet light cream cheese spread (great on G's Apple Dreams applesauce muffins, red velvet cake, carrot cake and italian cream cake, the options are endless...).
