So now begins the dilemma. Such beautiful lambs and I cant keep them all. My girls say sure you can but really it's a little much.

Lambing season is over. I thought with my mix of first time mom's and mature ewes I would end up with 13 lambs. Surprize! 2 first timers had twins and my oldest ewe, 8 years old this year, had triplets for the third time. So 16 total, 4 rams and 12 ewes. These are half of them. They all look promising but time will tell! Feeling sad that I cant keep them all...

Lambing season has ended. Made held out until the last possible day. I projected 13 lambs and got16. 2 first timers had twins. My old timer had triplets. Now start the cute lamb pictures.

Well, lambing season is nearly complete with a cascade of healthy happy lambs. 7 mom's delivered 12 lambs. 10 ewes and 4 rams. Two first timers holding out just to drive me crazy.

Aster came in second with 2 long legged ewe lambs. The white one is dirty because why have her in the straw when you can drop her in the dirt!? Shes fine though. Very sturdy!

I love the matching facial markings on these two. Black girl and brown boy. Rudolf is the third triplet with the brown nose. He was a little slow but doing fine now. Mamma straightened him out. Said none of my babies will be bottle babies.

Vienna decided to provide a "pregame show". Babies due on the 2nd of March. Born 27 February. Navajo Churros instinctively know what's best for their babies. Vienna was a bottle baby. She has triplets for the 3rd time. 18 babies in 8 years. Always by herself when nobody is looking. The first dry day in a week. 2 boys and a girl out of my big boy Merle.

No 4 horns but 3 sets of very nice horns. The 3 daddies of the babies coming the first part of March. Getting excited for the season. I purposely wait to lamb until March to miss the worst of the cold and snow.

Corona did it up right this year. Beautiful twin ewes with such luster!
