Hi Friends! Can you help me out?

Can you open your maps app with this address and tell me if it shows you this as the location? Should be this farm right next to the Bruneau Sand Dunes State Park! If not, let me know what maps you are using!

I have a lot of mix emotions today and have delayed posting this for about a month… but without further delay, it is time to announce that I will not be holding the Sunflower Festival or Quey’s Maze Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch in 2026. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to make the hard decision not to hold either event and to focus on the farm. But I do plan to bring them back in 2027 and beyond 😊. We will still be hosting the in November and hope to see you all then!! Thank you all for your support, as without you none of this would matter. See you in November 😃❤️

Dirty window and clean corn 🌽

This year I was late getting to thrash my corn. Each fall you get to wait for the corn to be dry enough to thrash properly and store well without molding, all of that can vary with corn variety, planting and weather. My corn was ready about October 20th, I was not 😂

The grain bin where I store my grain needed some electrical work to get the augers to work - and that turned into a long project with one thing after another getting in our way.

As a farmer, having your crops ready for harvest and not being able to, is a special kind of hell. It’s income sitting in the field and you never know what windstorm or other event could destroy it all before you get the chance to take it. I was slowly loosing my mind getting everything fixed, one hurdle after the other.

But finally the day came, we got to start harvesting! Then a truck broke down🤯. I then had to do something so hard for me… I had to ask for help. I called on another farmer to borrow a truck, and he showed up with two and an extra hand to drive them!! We were back in business! Then the combine broke 🫠. I tore into it determined to figure out what was wrong even if I could not fix it. Luckily I had some help and we found the problem, fixed it, and I was able to finish the harvest just as it started raining!! 🌧️

All this to tell you it was a hard season of harvest for the delays and breakdowns but through it I have seen Gods hand. I can see now I got to practice faith and patience, I have new and better friendships, I grew in fortitude and humility… and I would not have ended the season with the utmost gratitude for it all happening just the way it did to lead to the blessings of today. 🙂

So if things aren’t working out or you are waiting for something to happen, ask God for comfort in the process as the blessings of hardships are well worth it 😊

If you happened to watch my video about draining the water lines on the farm, you heard me mention the Quagga Mussel issue. Here is a great video with more information on it!

For the third year in a row, Idaho is fighting the quagga mussel, a tiny invasive species discovered in the Snake River in 2023, that could have a big impact...

A day on the farm draining water lines and loading hay! Water is the life blood of this farm! That is why it is so important to learn from or all the information on invasive species that could destroy Idahos farm lands and what we can do to prevent that 😊
