Sweetbriar Vineyard & Winery

Sweetbriar Vineyard & Winery Family owned & operated; all our wines are produced and bottled on the premises from our own grapes.

We feature a white grape, an American hybrid, called Vignoles and Cabernet Franc. We also have smaller quantities of Pinot Gris, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Lemberger. We are adding some Pinot Noir to see if we have the growing season for them.

Vignole Harvest!
Sunday, 14 September 2024

We will start at 8 am (or when you can make it). Bring a hat, long sleeve shirt, gloves if you like and your favorite clippers if you have some. I have clippers if you don't. The hat and long sleeves are to protect your head and arms from the vines. We have things to do for everyone, including children. Even if you don't think you can help, come out and lend moral support.

We will provide lunch, wine and some drinks and you get to take a bottle of wine, a T-shirt or wine glass home. Depending on how many people show up, it will take 3 to 4 hours to harvest. We have a big crop again this year. This year I have 10 cushions to go on the buckets to sit on.

Please let me know if you are coming, even if it is maybe. This is to make sure I have enough food.

If you know of anyone that would like to help, bring them along.

Thank you all,

Mike

P.S There will be NO Cabernet Franc harvest this year due to powdery mildew.

We will harvest Cabernet Franc grapes this Sunday, 23 October, beginning at 9am.

We will start at 9 am (or when you can make it). Bring a hat, warm work attire with long sleeve shirt, gloves if you like and your favorite clippers if you have some. I have clippers if you don't. The hat and long sleeves are to protect your head and arms from the vines as well as keep you warm. We have things to do for everyone. Even if you don't think you can help, come out and lend moral support. It is going to be cold (as I write this) so layers are recommended.

We will provide lunch (beef soup and 5 ingredient chili), wine and drinks and you get to take a bottle of wine, a shirt or glass with our logo on it home. Depending on how many people show up, it will take 3 to 4 hours to harvest.

Please let me know if you are coming, even if it is maybe. This is to make sure I have enough food.

Thanks you for considering helping - Mike

Hello All - we're very sorry, but we won't be open this weekend or next weekend; we're enjoying our retirement, visiting family, and getting away from the cold in Arizona. We'll be open again the weekend of March 12th. We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope you'll be able to visit us soon! Tamara
