Fall is finally around the corner and I'm getting the itch to reset coops and pens and do more moving around of my flocks, possibly making some changes in my BBS Copper Marans flock 🫣 . I'm excited to finally rip the bandaid off and start doing egg drops in spring 2027.
Added 6 more Silverrudds this week , blues and splashes from Kolby kluckin obsession. They are currently quarantined but testing and assessments will be happening before they join the Rudds clan but I'm hopeful 🤞
I've hit road blocks in 2026, hens or roosters that failed my assessments a lot of second guessing if I'm doing something right or wrong and learning. I Held off on offering eggs due to fertility issues, just been focusing on following the light at the end of the tunnel, I didn't give up and now I can't wait for 2027 and being able to share what I been working towards.
Meet Blue(needs a name still) , he joined the Rudds ladies yesterday. He's homozygous and from Timber Hill Farm, LLC line. He's still got some maturing to do at only 4 months but I just love him.
