Looking forward to cooler temps, the Silverrudds and BBS Copper Marans are finally starting to lay more and I'm finding more speckles 😁

and... Finally seems the silverrudds eggs are staying consistent in size 👏🎉

Mama quit sitting on Friday so I removed her & was going to empty out the cage but it was to hot yesterday to mess around outside 🤦. Luckily this little one hasn't been hatched very long when I found her.

So hot here, she'd been uncovered for 2 days and still hatched 🥵

Just caught my silverrudd rooster laying on this egg, got mad when I made him get up😯, ummm what the heck is happening? Broody hens are enough for me I don't need to add a broody roo the mix 🤦

Today's collection was so small , fit in one hand! Yes, the egg on my thumb did fall ( 4 times ) but it didn't break 😁

Noticing more feathers than normal in the coops today, anyone else's ladies already molting ?
