The Good Hive was born out of the love and concern for the plight of the honeybees. Our first apiary is set on the edge of pristine protected water shed lands where our bees forage from indigenous flora, untouched by man. We will choose new apiaries for our hives under the conditions that pesticide use in area is low and concentrate greatly on hives set in natural open mountainous areas. Top, Dor

In today's modern diets many of these nutrients are missing, raw honey fulfills this nutritional gap. Each flower that a honeybee visits contain its own unique phytochemical, raw honey contains these vital building blocks. Our honey comes from the hive, is strained and goes directly into the bottle. We are becoming famous for our creamed honey, you must try them all. We also make wonderful smelling natural handcrafted soaps and incredible smelling candles that burn 60 hours using some of our own beeswax. Soaps contain either beeswax, honey for added moisture, flowers, and/or herbs from the garden. You will feel the difference on your skin the first time you use our skin products. Candle Highlight: Pennsylvania Pine comes with a local story. There is a swamp about a mile from my home where hunters like to trap and also hunt deer. It is called Horseshoe swamp because of the natural shape of the land. There is the most unique pine that grows in this swamp. The needles are slightly long and beautifully bright green. In this special microclimate I have never seen another pine grow in Pennsylvania like these particular pines. I snapped a branch and brought it home to my shop.
