Our 2nd summer litter arrived Friday night.
"Allie" our purebred berk had her first litter. Allie is an Off The Chain x Kickin Rocks.
She had 10 born, 9 alive, sired by Instant Impact from Crossroads.
6 boars, 3 gilts. They sure are cute!

"Cookie" is proving to be a potential matriarch for our farm. She was a bred sow purchase last fall for very cheap. Might have been the best purchase we've made yet. She farrowed 7 in December. She took 1 dose of semen for a summer litter and had 8 perfect piglets last night. She is a rockstar.
Sired to Instant Impact from Crossroads Genetics. We have 2 boars and 6 gilts. Keep us in mind for your winter show pig needs!

Another fun update on the farm. We will be having two summer litters this year!

"Cookie" the Calico sow, and "Allie" the Purebred Berk are both bred to Instant Impact from Crossroads Genetics and are due June 8th and June 11th.

These will make great winter show stock or feeders, whichever fits your preferance.

Weve been blessed to have one Grand Champion that our kids exhibited. "Confetti" is one of our pride and joys here on the farm. When the opportunity arose to purchase her mother, we couldn't turn it down. We cant thank Ben Burtch enough for offering her to us.

Confetti was only her 2nd litter, and although that was a few years ago, we hope she has a few left in her. We learned today that she was actually shown by one of our favorite show family friends! 🥰 She was given the name "Summer" as a show pig, and that is what we will call her.

She is a Jaws x Heart Throb x Square Edge and is already being spoiled here at Blue Line Swine. 💙

Yesterday we shuffled some sows down to the bigger pen (fingers crossed for a couple late spring/early summer litters).

"Dave" was supposed to be one of Logan's show barrows, but we decided to keep him and let him become a herd boar. He made it outside with "Peanut", who was a runt barrow from Logan's sow, "DJ". Luckily Peanut is like his mama and took Dave into his pen with open arms.
