We have been busy planning for the the first annual World Mini Livestock Expo, to be held June 18-20, 2027 in Altamont, Illinois.

In addition to the Mini Cattle Shows, we are wanting to add shows for Mini Donkeys and Mini Horses. This is where we are needing help! We would like to find breed associations, breeders, or private individuals that have show experience that would be willing to manage these shows. We have already secured a great facility for this, with plenty of space. We expect this to draw a large number of people and think it would be great for both donkeys and horses to be represented there. If you know someone that would be interested, please have them reach out to us by private message or phone. Clubs, breed associations and private breeders are all welcome! We think this is a very unique opportunity to promote your breed.

This is a great addition to the World Mini Livestock Expo and we couldn't be any prouder to have Show Me Safari Petting Zoo and Pig Races joining us! I have worked around them for years and they always deliver a first class show!

BREAKING NEWS

We will be hosting the World Mini Livestock Expo June 18-20, 2027 at the Effingham County Fairground in Altamont, Illinois. We are very excited to finally be able to announce this! We just started a new page that will be devoted solely to the Expo, with more details being made as we progress.

Our goal is to make this an educational, fun filled event with shows available for mini livestock breeds, vendors, and even more. We currently have scheduled a mini cattle show that will be open to any breed of mini cattle. We would like to include other shows such as mini donkeys, mini horses and possibly goats.

We ask our loyal friends and followers to follow and share our new page. We will have a new website up very soon and will be posting updates there. Thank you all for your support and with your help, we feel that this will be an asset to the miniature livestock industry.

With calving season upon us, we wanted to share a few more pictures. Between calving, trimming hooves, feeding, cleaning barns and hauling feed, its a very busy time of year. We currently have about 150hd of Zebu and expecting about 40 more calves. If you are looking to start a herd or add to an existing herd, we always have something available. We also have a large selection of seman from our best breeding bulls. If we can ever help you find that special Zebu, send us a PM or call Gregg. He is always ready to "talk Zebu"!

I guess since Saturday is actually the end of the week, I will go ahead and add these in as well. 3 more spotted heifer calves born this morning to add to the weekly totals! We are very proud of not just the color of these calves, but also the overall quality. It's taken a long time to get here.😊

These 2 were a nice way to end the week, bringing the total so far to 10 calves. We are very pleased with the color on them so far, but excited to see what the rest will be like. 😊

Spa day here at the farm! We decided to go through some of the bred cows and trim hooves before they delivered their calves. Most of them really don't show the appreciation they should. 😆
