UPDATE - This handsome young bull went to his new home today. Thank you Terri and Rodney for taking "Hank" to be your next herdsire.

So many bull calves in 2025. Most became steers, but some are just too nice not to offer as potential herdsires. This is Homestead's Flame born 3-18-25. Flame is another Drag Iron grandson out of a cow by Kaboom 44/1. This cross has produced some nice cattle. They are an excellent outcross option for some of the current poplar bloodlines. Here's one of the few heifers we still have available. I would be happy to keep this one, but we can't keep all the really nice ones. "Homestead's Sparkler HD" is TLBAA registered. UPDATE: This boy is 10 months old. I offered him for sale on craigslist for $1000 and then reduced it to $950 for this past weekend. I kept getting low ball offers, so took him to the sale barn. I don't like doing that, but we're getting ready to wean more, so wanted to move him. I also wanted to see if I was way off on my pricing. He brought over $1200 at the sale barn!!

Just want to let other longhorn folks know that these cattle do bring good prices. Don't accept less! Merry Christmas
