Hill Farm

Hill Farm Locally grown, fresh, and sustainable produce. For our family and yours. For decades, our family was involved in the turf and pest industry.

Hill Farm is the childhood home of Danny Hill, located in the Sequoyah County community of Nicut, Oklahoma. Nicut is located in the beautiful rolling hills of the Ozark Plateau crisscrossed by the clear streams of Polecat, Little Lee and Lee Creeks. We are now turning our attention to locally grown, fresh and healthy produce grown in a sustainable manner. It is important to us to utilize this much

-beloved farm to produce high-quality products for our family and yours. Please follow along on this journey as we restore the original 1840's farmhouse and bring forth the produce from this same land that was originally farmed thousands of years ago by the Caddo People.

The farm - next door to the Sallie Byrd Sevenstar Community Building in Belfonte, OK- is open until 7:00 PM. We have Ouachita blackberries (more tart than later varieties). We also have flowers in bouquets featuring either lilies or sunflowers, jam - blackberry, strawberry, raspberry and mixed berry and a very limited number of eggs. We don’t take eggs to the Fort Smith Farmers Market. Prices… berries $5 pint, jam $7 half pint, bouquets $16, flower jars $8, eggs $3 dz or $4 for 18. We take Cherokee Nation cards for the berries ( fresh produce only). We are a two person ( maybe old and a little tired) operation so quantities are limited. We hope we make up for that with quality.

What are we growing? When will it be ready?
June…..blackberries, blueberries, several varieties of potatoes, garlic, herbs, summer flowers
July…..several varieties of tomatoes, several varieties of squash, okra, cucumber, several varieties of peppers
September……pumpkins, winter squash

That is the plan anyway….The rabbits and deer and weather may have other plans 😰.

For customers with Cherokee Nation cards, there are vendors at the Fort Smith Farmers Market selling spring vegetables now, honey and mushrooms. We aren’t growing spring vegetables this year.
Danny is going to make a sign for our front yard to let people know when our farm is open for shopping. Also we will post on FB with what is available each week. Thank you for your support!
