Our annual Summer Reading Challenge kicks off on Monday, June 8, and runs until school starts again. And it's not just for kids — adults are invited (and encouraged!) to participate, too.

Pick up a bingo card from any Powell's location or download it from our website. Read five books in a row (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) using the bingo card theme prompts, and then turn in the bottom portion to receive your prizes — plus the chance to win even more. In the winter, our only market is the Oregon City Year Round Farmers Market and those customers, along with online orders, keep us afloat. Y’all are our ride or dies! 👊 We are super excited to feel the sunshine on our faces and be heading into summer market season!

Spring marks the beginning of chicken season and their first few days of life are SO important. We get 600 chicks at a time and if the brooder environment isn’t perfect, they will pile up and smother each other overnight, which is a tragic sight to wake up to. We check them every few hours for the first few days to ensure they’re warm and healthy. 🐥

Hey local folks! We could use some help this weekend as we undertake the planting portion of our grant. Man, it’s been wet. We weathered the storms fairly well and both humans and animals have been hunkered down. We feel for our fellow farmers and friends who have seen serious flooding.
