I lost a hen today and I need your help to find her cause of death she was 1 1/2 years old and was found in the nesting box stiff from being dead a while I saw no signs of being pecked on and I think she was moving normally yesterday.

We’ve been having a huge slug problem in our garden and especially in our strawberry bed. We have been doing the beer method (where you stick a container of beer in the garden and they fall in because there attracted to the yeast in it and drown). And it’s worked pretty well. Does anyone have any other ideas of what we could do to get rid of them.

Today I completed a huge step in my native plant/pollinator garden. Today I got and planted 20 native plants. Including Oregon grape, trillium, goose berry, and even wild strawberries. And more!

Current baby chick/duckling/baby turkey haul! The duckling was an orphan we found in our neighborhood! And we just got the turkeys and the one chick from Wilco today. We’re expecting 6 chicks in the mail tomorrow too!

Hi y’all I finally got the aquaponics system up and running this year! I planted greens and herbs in the growing container! (An aquaponics system is a pond/garden bed where you have a pump that pushes fish p**p into the growing area fertilizing the plants. That way you can double your harvest with fish and plants)
