JE STATUESQUE - Arabian Mare, National Show Horse Finals bound with Rattner and Dan Alexander
JE STATUESQUE is a 2014 mare, bred by Nancy Pierce and purchased from Peregrine Bloodstock by Dan and Cathy Alexander of ABIDE ARABIANS in May of 2020. She has been shown in the 2020 and 2021 show season by Martha Rattner and Dan Alexander in Sport Horse in Hand and Mare Halter in Open and AOTH competition at Regions 9, 12, 13, 14 and 15, garnering an astounding 6 Supreme Championship, 12 Championships and 9 Reserve Championships.
In an effort to remain engaged with Arabian horses after a serious accident in 2019, Dan and Cathy researched online to find a mare. Their search led them to a young mare whose agent was listed as Mark Wharton. That particular mare had sold, but after several hours of counsel with Mark, they purchased JE STATUESQUE (affectionally called Sugar). Mark knew the goal was the breeding barn and he was confident with her confirmation and pedigree that Sugar would be a great brood mare. He also felt that she had the quality and charisma to be a great show horse, in spite of her age (7 at the time of purchase) and her lack of experience (she had been in the pasture for the few years prior to their purchase). With Mark’s encouragement and his help securing a spot with Martha Rattner as Sugar’s trainer, Dan and Cathy began a very unexpected and successful journey.
Sugar is sired by WC ALI GAZAL who is owned and bred by established breeder of Champions and Champion producers, Holly Woods Dillin. He is a Regional Champion Stallion and 2 times US National Top Ten. He is sired by the legendary World Champion, Gazal Al Shaqab and out of a daughter of Multi US and Canadian National Champion and Champion producer, ALI JAMAL.
Sugar’s dam, WC LADY BEY DAKHARA is also owned and bred by Holly Woods Dillin and sired by, US National Champion Stallion, DAKHARO who is now owned by HRH Prince Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia. She is out of a daughter of the great BEY SHAH, sire of over 1,100 Champions and Champion producers. Her dam, JA KESHIA is sired by FIRE ON ICE who was an example of his generations, GOLDEN CROSS of the eternal *BASK and a daughter of the legendary champion, KHEMOSABI++++//.
