Summer may be over, but this Mixed Berry Chantilly cake deserves a moment!

Whipped cream & marscapone frosting hold the border for fresh mixed berries sandwiched between layers of airy vanilla cake.

This beautiful cake is a subtle nod to Summer as we wrap up one season and head into the next. ☀️ 🍁

Are you a Summer or Fall person?

Something about a homemade buttermilk biscuit used to intimidate me. 😓

I have tried, too many times than I wish to admit, to make the perfect buttermilk biscuit. I would try so hard to make the dough look perfect, and it would always fall flat (quite literally).

Until, one day I realized the problem. I was trying harder than I needed to. The simple mistake I was making, overworking the dough to make it look just right. The result, biscuits that were tough and way short of my expectations.

Now, I can whip up these biscuits in no time and they are FABULOUS. Paired with some local honey, apple butter, or homemade sausage gravy and you got yourself a southern style breakfast. 🍯

If your biscuits aren’t living up to the southern classic hype, don’t throw the towel in just yet.

Do we need a recipe video? 😋

Can you guess the themes for this split birthday cake?

My niece and nephew are having a small party tomorrow for their September birthday which means Auntie has to get creative, combing their favorite things.

You’d never guess my nephew’s favorite 😂

Dollar General, y’all need to sponsor my nephew, this Auntie is going broke from our weekly DG stops. Or as he calls it “Dollar Gentral”. 😂😂

Y’all tag Dollar General and get this boy a sponsorship 😂

Big thanks to my bestie neighbor and caker for the toppers Randoolee CAKES
