I have chosen not to show for the first half of 2026 due to the fact that 1) I needed to really hatch some chicks and grow them out and 2) I have this other side gig… it’s called fishing in women’s bass pro tournaments😏😳🤣🎣. So if you like silkie chickens and are mildly interested in women’s professional fishing, you’ve come to the right place!

Scissor lift staged for some high ceiling acrobatics by my husband tomorrow😂. I’ll be the safety supervisor/assistant.

Tomorrow is full stop clean of coop along with a ballast in need of changeout and the addition of some UV bulbs. The Silkie Palace is in for some TLC and another project for the walls will be revealed to be completed at a later date.

Traveled to Abilene for the 2025 ASBC Texas State Meet with 7 birds (the most I’ve prepped and shown to date). 6 of the 7 were first timers.

I took 2 partridge pullets, 2 non-bearded white pullets, 1 bearded white cockerel (whom I assumed was a non-beardy as he hatched from non-bearded eggs🤦‍♀️), 1 chcolate pullet, and 1 bearded white hen of breeding from a 2023 waffle win, whom goes by the name Bo-katan.

Bo showed out at the right time and placed BV-BB-Res FL! I couldn’t be more shocked or pleased!
