The 3B Homestead is excited to invite you to a fun one-of-a-kind Christmas celebration that brings meaning and joy to your life!
From Thanksgiving to Christmas 2026 a special and uniquely nontraditional Christmas event called The Living Nativity will take place in and around the grand old 1888 working barn at the 3B Homestead in Murdock, NE.
Guests will visit and interact with many stable animals. Through the animals and ag items in the barn they'll hear the beautiful Christmas Story as told from Luke 2. It's educational, inspirational, and fun! The true meaning of why Christmas is celebrated will come shining through!
For your planning, no tickets are needed. It’s a free event. It takes about 1½ hours from beginning to end, depending on how long you linger at the stable stalls to pet the animals and talk to the volunteers. There is beautiful live music, yummy cocoa and a gift shop called The Stable Store.
Days, Options and Hours of Operation:​

Option 1 - Open Weekends for the public to walk through the barn: Nov. 29, Dec 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20. Come and go anytime from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
Option 2 - Open Weekdays for pre-scheduled private visits: Family groups, church groups, office staff personnel, grandparents, 4-H groups, homeschool groups, Bible Study groups, etc. A group organizer should text Sondra Buell at 402-867-1802 to schedule a weekday date and time.
Option 3 - Open Three special days for drive-through only - November 28 and December 23 & 24 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Stay in your car and enjoy the animal stories on a podcast.
