🐔🦆 Farm Life Update from Denton Zoo Homestead Farm 🦆🐔
We've been a little quiet on social media lately! Between wrapping up the school year and kicking off a busy summer season, our days have been filled with caring for animals and keeping the farm running.
Life here has been full of exciting changes and new arrivals! Our hens and ducks have been enjoying the warmer weather, and we're thrilled to introduce our handsome new rooster, Napoleon, who has settled in quite nicely and certainly knows how to make his presence known around the farm.
We've also welcomed some adorable new Polish and Frizzle chicks. They may be small now, but they're already full of personality and keeping us entertained with their curious antics.
Of course, we can't forget two of our favorite farm residents, Keleese and Drogo. They continue to charm everyone who visits and are enjoying all the extra attention that summer brings.
Thank you for following along with our homestead adventures, even when we're not posting as often as we'd like. We appreciate your support and look forward to sharing more of our animals, daily farm life, and summer fun with you in the weeks ahead!

Welcome our newest little arrivals to the farm 💛

Meet Drogo and Khaleesi, the newest additions to Denton Zoo Farm! These two have officially made their debut and are already starting to settle in nicely—parkouring all over the place and keeping us on our toes!

From curious little steps to nonstop playful energy, they’re already full of personality and bringing so much joy to the farm.

We can’t wait for everyone to come meet them and watch them grow—trust us, they’re as adorable as they sound 🐾

We found 13 duck eggs today tucked away in a random little spot under the bunny hutch! Looks like one of our ducks picked herself a cozy secret nesting place. 🐰🥚

Today is a hard day on our homestead.
When I got home from celebrating a birthday, I went out to check on the chickens, love on the bunnies, and gather eggs like always—but instead, I found that our last Rhode Island Red had passed away.
We’ve had her from the very beginning. She wasn’t just a chicken… she was part of our daily rhythm, part of our story out here. Watching her grow, caring for her, and seeing her every day became something we just quietly counted on.
Losing her feels like the end of a chapter.
If you’ve ever had animals you cared for, you know—they leave little footprints on your heart in ways you don’t expect.
Rest easy, sweet girl. ❤️
