(FOLLOW ON IG) Twin Rose Farm is our small family farm located on five acres in Middle Tennessee. This year we will be selling high-quality cut flowers from May to October and tomato and bell pepper vegetable garden starts in late April. We are growing in greenhouses and fields. Our cut flowers grow in the front of our property. The greenhouses are in the middle and the orchard is over 2 acres in the back. The greenhouses extend our growing season by several months. We are planning several additions to the flowers and starts. We’ve just planted our first fruit trees. We will hopefully have fruit for sale in a few years. We are also experimenting with growing herbs in the dry and warm greenhouse environment. Beyond growing flowers and food, we also want to engage with our community to learn and share knowledge of agriculture and nature. We want to be a part of preserving and expanding the collective art and science of plants. We love our little farm and what it will offer the world. Our focus is to provide the land with thoughtful and deliberate care so that it can do the same for us.

Sweet sweet gomphrena….

She’s dependable, drought tolerant, comes in many colors, and even dries well!! What more could you ask for?! I’ve been harvesting off the same planting of gomphrena planted in April.

I planted some purple gomphrena in our trial tunnel for a late fall trial- we shall see how they do in about 6 weeks.

We are sad to say this heat has made an impact on our flowers. They are struggling in this heat like the rest of us. We are closing the flower stand today. Hoping for some rain and cooler temps for all the living things!

It’s been quite on our part lately on the gram!

What’s been up around these parts….
Lots of seed starting, transplanting, clearing tunnels and fields. Fall flowers are starting to bloom, and they are honestly becoming equally my favorites as spring flowers. Pictured is purple majesty. The flower stand has been open on Saturdays through the summer; it’s about time to open her back up 3 days a week for the fall. (Thinking about starting Friday September 25th)

We’ve also been taking time to make each other important in our family and friendships, which takes intention and time.

As most of our followers on IG and FB knows, I (Misty) also own TN Cut Flower Co. - and to put it simply, she is where a lot of my attention goes. If you’re not following along over there, please do.

What’s been going on…

July is always a hard month for me. Flower sales slow down when the fields are in abundance and it’s stupid hot out. Every year once August gets here the frustrations from July tend to disappear. The Sun feels different and being out in the field doesn’t seem nearly as taxing. I’m looking forward to that!

Lisianthus has been a great success of a crop for us this year and the aster is starting to bloom. We are clearing all the spring and early summer fields to prep for fall. I’m excited for a new fall trial this year to see what flowers can bloom in the tunnels in late October-November. I’ll be sharing more of that later this season.

It’s busy around here and that’s really how I like it. While this is still considered just a side gig for both Andrew and I, it takes quite a bit of our time. It’s something we mostly enjoy doing, allows us to work on projects together, and provides extra income for our family. I am thankful for the opportunity we have to grow on our land and share what we grow with others.

The flower stand will be open tomorrow (SATURDAY) 8am-dark. Come grab some flowers for yourself or a friend. 💛💛💛💛

It’s friggin hot hot hot!!

We have officially decided to only open the flower stand on Saturdays throughout the summer.

If you need flowers any day of the week, just DM us what you’re wanting and we will get it ready for you to pick up at the farm.

A new crop for us this year: white Ageratum.

So far I’m really enjoying it. Stem length 24-36in, good vase life, I’m even trying it as a dried flower.
