Did you know we have the largest native fruit to North America all around us? This is the PawPaw & we were able to find a few ripe ones on our hunt for more elderberries. They taste like a banana, manage, and marshmallow with the consistency of custard. You’ll probably never see them for sale, as they’re intensely delicate and bruise easily - but we’re grateful for the opportunity to snag a few this early in the season and plan to make a test batch of jam to preserve this delicious, native fruit!

Remember those suckers we pulled off the tomatoes in the spring and planted them in an inch of dirt to root? Well, there were too many side quest and we honestly just left them to be an experiment. Here’s is proof with love and attention you can grow food, even in the smallest amount of dirt! While not the heaviest producer, they still tastes great!

If you’re looking for eggs, we have them! Our eggs have been laid, collected, washed, and packaged with love! Quail eggs this week are $4/dozen or 3 dozen for $10. If you’ve never tried quail eggs, make this your week to try them. They’re great on their own, but super cute on sliders, BLTs, and more.

We love customer feedback, including constructive feedback. We’ve been trying to perfect our summer grow and realized the summer morning dew in the holler plus all of this intense humidity has made our greens a bit wetter than we and you want. So, we’re switching it up to an evening harvest from a morning harvest. We can taste, see, and feel a difference already. Check out these dry, crispy broccoli microgreens! Our normal lineup of microgreens and more will be available this Saturday at the Murfreesboro Saturday Market from 8 to 12.

If we grow it, we eat it. We don’t grow food we won’t eat, including growing food we share with our animals. We believe that no food should be wasted. If we have excess food, we donate it, share it, feed it to our animals, or compost it. Enjoy this video of our bunnies tearing down some of our pea and sunflowers micro greens!
