This week at the Calloway County High School Agriculture Department Greenhouse…get a bag of potting soil with every purchase! We are open weekdays 8:30-2:30, located behind CCHS, the community is welcome!

Sure looks like home but it’s rapeseed growing in the Normandy and Paris, France countryside. Love seeing agriculture in my (Sharon’s) travels. And yes, I know I abandoned my guys to keep it all going during planting season. 😊 Home soon.

Everyone asks when the canola will bloom and I always say it’s like the dogwood tree…it will be the most beautiful on Easter weekend no matter the date. And sure enough, here is proof of that. It also reminds us that no matter how beautiful something is on the outside we won’t know the real results until harvest in June. The cold weather was not kind to us. But we will enjoy for now. ☀️

This week, we celebrate the meaning of FFA: where confidence is built, leadership is discovered, and purpose is cultivated.

As we kick off National FFA Week, we give thanks to those who have carried this organization forward and look ahead to the future leaders who will continue to serve agriculture and their communities with integrity and heart.

On Monday, Feb. 23, a new group will be driving their tractors to Calloway Co. High School in honor of FFA Week. I had to share this great memory from a now “seasoned” group of tractor drivers. 😊
