Most people see the start of summer - we see pumpkins!
This week we started working ground and getting our first pumpkin plants of 2026 growing. There’s a lot of work between now and fall, but it all starts with a tractor in the field and a tray of tiny seedlings.
We’ve got a few new varieties coming this year, and we think you’re going to like them.

Happy Thanksgiving from Penny Pumpkin Patch!
Thanksgiving always brings us back to what matters most — faith, family, and the blessing of community. As the oldest pumpkin patch in Western Kentucky, we’re especially grateful for the generations of families who’ve walked these fields, explored our corn maze, visited the old Penny Grocery Store, and made us part of their fall traditions for over three decades.
Every pumpkin picked, every kiddo’s muddy boots, every laugh echoing through the maze… it all means more to us than we can put into words. You’re the reason this little patch of land continues to grow, year after year.
From our family to yours, thank you for supporting a local, multigenerational farm that still believes in simple joys and honest fun.

Hi friends! If any farmers with livestock and/or photographers still doing fall photo sessions that need pumpkins, we are leaving a pile of them abf corn shock bundles out front near the road free for pickup! (Free to anyone really) The flat stackable ones are still very solid and will last AWHILE! First come first serve! This pile will grow as the day goes on, too!
