🍎 Our first apple!

It's small, but it's a victory! ❤️ After all the work we've put into protecting the orchard, it feels pretty special to finally harvest our first apple.

The electric fence continues to keep the deer out, and we're seeing some great recovery in the fig tree and blueberry bushes. 🌱🫐

We also picked the last of the blackberries for the season. We harvested elderberries too! Another growing season in the books!

One apple, a few recovering plants, and lots of lessons learned. That's farm life! 🌾

One of my favorite parts of the farm is taking a quiet walk through the meadow. 🌿💚

Today I picked a few wildflowers, paused to enjoy the sweet fragrance of the blooming milkweed (it smells absolutely amazing!), and stumbled across wild gooseberries growing among the grasses. What a fun surprise! I can't wait to see if they're ready to taste.

It's little moments like these that remind me how much beauty nature has to offer. 🌼🐝

The berries have been keeping us busy! 🫐🍓 We've been spending our days harvesting fresh berries and turning them into our favorite small-batch jellies and jams, made with care right here on the farm.
