Has anyone noticed the decline in Walgreens Pharmacy Store #6077 at 2872 S HIGHWAY 17? They often run out of drugs or delay the filling of prescriptions. My 85 yo mother was discharged from the hospital Saturday with a prescription for a common, but life saving heart medication which she must take religiously. Walgreens only gave me 10 of the 180 pills prescribed. When I called them to fill the rest of the prescription they told me it would be ready today. When I went to the drive through, the pharmacy manager told me that their South Carolina warehouse is out of stock and Mom would have to wait until next week for the prescription to be filled. Since it is dangerous for her to stop taking the medication, I had to go to CVS which immediately filled the order and will now be filling all of her prescriptions. My mother has been a customer there for 35 years. There was a time when the pharmacist would have called us to tell us why they didn't fill the whole prescription and found a solution to this potentially dangerous situation. Wondering if anyone else has experienced the same.
