I’m hoping the old adage about being darkest before the dawn holds true for weather too. Is it hottest before the cool? I sure hope so. I’m so looking forward to Fall! But in the meantime let’s embrace where we’re at and make sweet tea out of lemons. Our Summer in the South Menu is now online for ordering through Monday at 10am for Wednesday 9/2 pick up or delivery.

One day (when time permits and I can slow down and smell the garlic) I am going to travel again. I am going to see Tuscany and the Italian countryside. I am going to experience the sun glowing off the hills and glistening off the plump, ripe grapes. One day I will stay in a rustic farmhouse and learn to make pasta from an Italian Nonna. One day I will taste the still warm tomatoes, freshly brought in from the garden moments before and smell the hanging garlic and the basil growing in the windowsill. One day. Today I will grow where I’m planted. Today I will bring Italy to me.
