Bramble will be looking for a new place of residence within the next 3 weeks after he gets his CD&T booster and has settled from being weaned. I have not wethered him as I believe he has a lot to offer, even as a % buck. 56.25%

This is his dam's first kidding, and she outdid herself by not only having triplets, but caring for ALL 3! Mothering instinct like that is what I strive for. She is a clean 2x2 with all teats functioning and a good/well-attached udder. Cedar (his dam) is also backed by genetics that stay fat on air, have good feet, and are pretty parasite resistant.

If I receive a non-refundable deposit, I can take him to a local ABGA show in July for his new family. I would also love to see him continue to show and prove C**t as a sire! In the highlights for 2025 shows, you will see Milo winning at the fair he was taken to. He shares almost all of his pedigree with Bramble besides Thor's line.

He is very well-mannered and a sweet boy. I'm sure he will turn out just like his half-brother/uncle I receive updates on, and remain a gentleman like their sire, C**t.

He may not have the fancy colors, but he is marked up pretty cool! The pictures attached are from 5/16. I will have to double check his teats and bite, but I do know he has no split in his sc***um. I have also included pictures of most of Cedar's pedigree since it isn't recorded, and then a few notable ones on C**t's.

Only a few more rounds of hatching and I'm done for the year I think...current chick count is around 54 for just Ameraucana and buff/black/blue Orpington. Going to hatch a dozen easter eggers, as many isabel/crele etc. Orpington as I can get, and maybe 2 dozen Favs and call it quits.

I will have several adult birds available this year as they no longer fit the needs of my own program or I will have bred better replacements.
1-2yrs old for LF, would have to check how old the bantam is.
LF: 4 blue Ameraucana hens (not bred by me), 1 lavender Orpington hen (bred by me).
Bantam: 1 black Ameraucana hen (not bred by me)
The LF will all be paired/trio'd up once I have male growouts I do not wish to keep.

I know I told myself I wasn't going to keep anything from this C**t x Cedar pairing....but miss Briar might be an exception 😅 I mean just LOOK at that head and jaw already at 7 weeks old. Her sister and brother will be available after weaning or the show in July if their new family wishes for me to take them. Registrable at 56.25%, but C**t is 100% registered and there are no known mix-ins on Cedar's side. I currently own her dam (bred by me) and granddam, bred and owned her sire and maternal grandsire, and owned her paternal/maternal great granddams. I also met/saw her maternal great grandsire. Have pictures of all of them as well :)

Kids have started hitting the feed pretty hard! They are fed High Noon "Monkey Munch" and "Billy the Kid". I'll have to get better pics of them soon.

Can we talk about all these Facebook breeders selling their stock as show/exhibition lines with no proof of showing those birds? One of these people has a breed they sell labeled as show lines, and another as exhibition lines? Is there a difference?? I feel like you can't claim that unless those birds have been shown (even if they don't win) and haven't been DQ'd or have major faults. I personally would never say mine are a specific line, but I do breed them towards the SOP and I show what/when I can.
I think you kind of back yourself into a corner when you say your birds are show/exhibition lines, because a customer could end up with chicks that are full of faults or DQ's when they would be expecting all high quality stock. Now most of us know that's not realistic, out of maybe 20+ Ameraucana I hatched last year, I found only 3 worth keeping. 2 of those ended up winning CH AOSB/BB and RB at the show I took them to. Still wouldn't say any chicks or eggs from them are from show/exhibition lines.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's a little deceiving to sell chicks and eggs under that premise when you have no idea of the quality they could turn out to be. Just because a bird is a good show bird, doesn't mean they'll be a good producer; however, I have had birds that AREN'T good show birds be good producers. Know your lines.

Heads like this straight out of the incubator are what im TALKIN' about!!

Also the wing of a chick that hatched the 16th that is showing promising signs of having good lacing!

This is the last big batch of my Bruno hens x Walter pen. Have two more supposed to hatch next week, but that's it. After that, it's the pen of 6 with my 2 homebred splash girls and 4 misc. lines. The 3 blue in that pen will be available eventually, would like to pair or trio them up when I get some cockerels grown.
