Good evening, as one of the non-official board members we are going to miss the staff almost as much as the wine.

The six years we've been here three of them have been spending time at tonic making memories making friends learning about wine tasting wine and wishing this would never end.

But as we all know good things come to an end unfortunately, for the very least continue on in a different way.

We will miss everybody beyond comprehension, we will never say goodbye.

Thirsty Thursday! 🍹

Lillet Rouge makes a fantastic, fruit-forward base for summer drinks. Its deep notes of dark berries, fresh citrus, and gentle warming spices shine when mixed simply with tonic water, transformed into a light red sangria, or paired with bubbles for a refreshing warm-weather spritz.

Lillet Rouge Spritz
Ingredients:
2 oz Lillet Rouge
2 oz Prosecco or dry sparkling wine 🍾
1 oz club soda
Dehydrated lemon wheel 🍋

How to make: Build directly in a wine glass over ice. Stir briefly and garnish with a lemon or orange wheel.

After an incredible journey, it’s time for a new chapter! As most of you know, we no longer live in the Shoals area. With careful consideration, I along with my husband Jim, have made the difficult decision to close Tonic bottle and cork in Muscle Shoals.

We’re not closed yet! We’ll continue operating with our normal business hours through July 31st, so be sure to stop by and see us. I’d love the chance to thank you in person before I go.

As we begin our new adventures, I’d also love to see this business continue serving the community. The store is for sale, and if you’ve ever dreamed of owning an established business, I’d be happy to talk with you. Feel free to message me or stop by the store for more information.

Thank you again, Muscle Shoals, for making this such a rewarding experience. I’ll always appreciate the support, friendships, and memories. Wishing all of you the very best, and I hope our paths cross again!

Biscuits pick this week is Giuliano Rosati, a brand of Italian red wine from the Veneto region.

Valpolicella, which is made from Corvina, Rondinella, and Corvinone grapes, often with a refreshing, fruity profile featuring cherry and violet notes, and sometimes a richer Ripasso version with more body from refermentation on Amarone grape skins, adding complexity like to***co and vanilla.

This rich and velvety wine features a refreshing crispness that makes it incredibly versatile for dining. It pairs beautifully with lamb, game, pâté, and roasted meats.
