I just want to take a minute and say THANK YOU to everyone who made their way to the Chalet today.

With the construction on Western Ave and the inconvenience of not being able to pull right up to us, I really wasn’t sure what kind of day we were going to have.

Y’all showed up anyway.

By the end of the day, you had sold us out of EVERYTHING except 1 lb of brisket and 1 lb of turkey knuckles. Every single side, GONE.

I can’t tell y’all how grateful I am for that kind of support.

I know getting to the Chalet right now takes a little extra effort. You have to find somewhere to park, walk over and deal with the construction just to come get some Rub-N-Grub. The fact that y’all are still making that effort means more to me than you probably realize.

We’re still building. Still growing. Still trying to earn your business every single time you come see us.

Thank y’all for continuing to rock with Rub-N-Grub. We truly appreciate every single one of you.

LET’S TALK DOORDASH

I’ve made the decision to end our DoorDash service for Rub-N-Grub Seasonings LLC

Nothing against DoorDash at all. It’s a great platform and obviously provides convenience for a lot of people. But from the business side, their top-tier plan takes roughly 30% of each order.

For us, that leaves two choices: absorb that 30% or raise our prices on DoorDash (which we did) to make up the difference.

Neither one really sits well with me.

Our food is priced where it is for a reason. BBQ (especially brisket) isn't cheap to produce, and I don't want to take something that costs $15 directly from us and make it $18-$20 simply because you ordered it through an app.

Could we raise our DoorDash prices even more like many businesses do? Absolutely. But I'd rather keep our pricing fair, protect the quality of what we're serving, and make sure the business is actually making money on every order.

So for now, we're saying goodbye to DoorDash.

The best way to support Rub-N-Grub will always be to order directly from us. You get our regular pricing, and more of what you spend stays with the small business actually preparing your food.

We appreciate everybody who continues to support what we're building here in Muskegon.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

With the upcoming resurfacing of Western Ave starting tomorrow September 8th, you will not be able to pull directly up in front of the Chalet like you normally would.

BUT… don’t let the construction stop you from getting your BBQ! 😂

The side streets, sidewalks, crosswalks and surrounding FREE parking areas will remain accessible. You’ll just have to park nearby and take a short walk over to us at 307 W Western Ave – Chalet J.

We know it’s a little less convenient than pulling right up front, but we’re hoping y’all will continue to come out and support us while the city gets Western Ave taken care of.

Rub-N-Grub isn’t going anywhere. The BBQ will still be smoking, and we’ll still be serving!
